A NATURAL ANTIOXIDENT DELICIOUS DRINK FOR HEALTH – NINGXIA RED

Turning to historical traditions in a culture can provide us with much incite, wisdom and hope for our modern day health.  When the residents of Ningxia, China living beyond 100 years exceeds the national average by 400%, they must have a secret, a formula, or a tradition passed down.  A 1/2 inch red berry from the wolfberry plant has been their secret for centuries and is now considered a national Chinese treasure.

Their longevity and extraordinary health is a part of life, by way of a bowl of these berries eaten daily.  A yearly two week festival in Ningxia celebrates their little crown jewel – the wolfberry.  Ancient Chinese medical texts – the Shen Nung Ben Tsao (475-221 BC) cited benefits for the eyes, liver, blood and kidneys.  It is the most nutrient dense food on the planet with vital essential sugars, amino-acids, and the clinically proven wolfberry protein polysaccharides .

To bring us full circle as to how it benefits us now, and can be taken for immune and  cardiovascular support besides eye and liver health, let’s look at how this nutrient infusion came to this country.  In 1993 Gary Young the founder of Young Living traveled to China to investigate the connection these little berries had to longevity.  What he found with the help of Dr. Sue Chao, after much testing was the exact compounds that synergistically worked together for the body’s balance.  The naturally high antioxident levels founds in the wolfberry, besides calcium, betacarotene, and Vitamin C  helped explain the energy, health and longevity the Chinese had experienced for centuries.

To the juice, the peel and the flesh of the wolfberry Gary chose to add juices of blueberries, pomegranates, red raspberries, dark grapes, apricots and two oils high in d-limonenes - lemon and orange.  Not having any inexpensive high-glycemic “junk juices”  like apple, white or grape now gave Ningxia Red the distinction of having the highest S-ORAC at 363.  This measures a product’s ability to destroy the most dangerous and abundant free radical Superoxide.  Such high levels contribute to cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis, asthma, and anti-inflammatory conditions.  The ellagic acid found in those added juices can help protect DNA against injury as the wolfberry protects against mutations as well all protecting our precious cell health from cancers.

Personally, I have been drinking this delicious drink for over 5 years, and must say that my immune system has never been healthier.  Although I can be in the range of many  people’s germs in the massage treatment room, the Ningxia Red I believe keeps my immunity so high, that I do not succumb to any and all pathogens.  To this I may sometimes add drops of Thieves or Lemon, should I feel something in my throat, to kill what may be lurking.  Over the years I have heard of clients whose cholesterol levels have moved to an improved direction, improved eye health, the blood sugars of diabetics normalized, the muscle/pain cycle of fibromyalgia  been lessened, and the cholesterol levels of many have radically improved just to mention a few.  Should someone be fighting a disease process I highly recommend taking Ningxia Red to boost immunity and help with energy with more than the usual 1-2 ounces per day.

For any and all to benefit from this ancient berry, Young Living has the liquid Ningxia Red, a 16 OZ. bag of these berries, or the Wolfberry crisp bars.  On the retail level they are $52.30, $24.67, and $22.04 respectively.  Not a personal fan of most bars, I must say that these do not leave your mouth feeling like you need to brush, or leave a funky after taste.  Should you lean toward a wholesale account to save $$ the Start Living kit with NingXia Red (3696) is a great way to begin for $185.  Simply making a choice for your health and your family’s can reap huge benefits over time, as you will feel them!!!
